Michelle cancels all the wedding plans but decides to go on the honeymoon cruise alone and free her inhibitions. Kirk sees women as great company but marriage as a trap to be avoided. When his best friend backs out on the cruise they were to go on he decides to go solo. On the cruise, Michelle and Kirk quickly meet and enjoy a vacation fling. They share nothing of their pasts or how to contact each other after the cruise but fate isn't done with them. The story has very likeable characters with great interactions. Made me smile many times. I look forward to reading it again in the future and will be looking for more stories written by Chris Keniston.Product details

Seven years with Steven, two years of dating and five years of being engage and only three days let until the wedding. When Michelle has what is the largest bomb dropped at her feet. Not only was her fiancé dumping her, her is leaving her for her best friend. Not having her best friend to turn to she seeks friendship in her neighbor and co-worker. After canceling all of her wedding plans, she is convinced to go on her honeymoon and get away.
Not knowing this was the perfect thing, she is able to let go and have a good time with the help of another passenger, Kyle. Kyle was able to bring out the fun side that she had carefully tucked away.
is Kyle the key to her happiness or just a fun little fling? When she goes home will she be able to keep having fun or would thing go back to her plain boring life?
This is the first book of Chris Keniston but it won't be my last. I am looking forward to reading more of her books.
Great contemporary romance. I purchased this book in 2013 & read it but realized I didn’t write a review. I see there are some that didn’t like the book but it’s meant to be a book you can relax with & have a HEA. If you don’t like those hen don’t read this. Michelle was jilted just days before her wedding. Her friends encourage her to go on the honeymoon cruise that was paid for. She goes & meets Kirk who is a known playboy. He doesn’t believe in HEA yet they embark on a cruise ship romance expecting they’ll never see one another again. Well fate has a surprise in store. Fun book that makes the reader smile & laugh. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
I was looking for something to read this morning and after 4 books couldn't muster getting my attention I stumbled onto this book and I will say that I am supremely glad I did. This book was so good, it was a super cute and easy read. A perfect way to spend a summer afternoon. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Oh my goodness. This book has been lost among the 800 others on my . For two years and three months I saw not hide nor hair of it until today when it popped up on Bookbubs and I went to to buy it...not realizing I already had it. I resent it to my and got busy. Some reviews on Goodreads were not too kind but I wanted to give it a shot. I was in the mood for light and funny and this filled the bill perfectly.
I absolutely love this book and it was hilarious in so many places. My son had to turn the TV volume up because he had trouble hearing over my laughter. The author is brilliant and weaves a tale to the best of all possible outcomes. There was little angst and the love story one of the sweetest I have read for a lighthearted book.
We have Michelle Bradford whose fiance, Steven, ditched her just days before the wedding. He discovered he was in love with her best friend and the two of them are leaving the next day to fly to Vegas and get married. Michelle is shocked and embarrassed and wants to avoid the spectacle this will make in their small hometown. Her friends convince her to go on her honeymoon alone and leave her conservative, stuffy side behind.
It is on the cruise ship where she meets Kirk and they spend ten, thrilling, fun, sexy days and nights together. He is a man-whore to some degree and for those of you, like myself, who despise them, this is a safe read. He’s with no one else once he’s been with the heroine. They each knew this was a temporary liaison and didn’t share personal information but it was clear they had developed feelings for one another. He swore he would never marry or be involved in a long term relationship and our heroine knew that. She wasn’t looking for anything either. She just got rid of an ex she didn’t love. The company Michelle works for is having serious difficulties and a trouble shooter has been contracted and will be arriving the day she returns to work after her honeymoon. Guess who?? So as best as I can tell Kirk wasn’t intimate with any other woman between leaving the cruise ship on Saturday and starting the job on Monday.
I highly recommend this book and this author.
Cooking and cleaning had to wait - Honeymoon for One is a "can't put it down" story. Ship board fling with a "stranger" never to be seen again - really? Not in this book. They had fun on board ship but the real fun begins when he shows up in her town. Throw in a teenager, an ex-fiancee and a pushy co-worker and you have a great summer read filled with twists and turns. So put that cleaning cloth down, you can clean your house anytime! Grab a good book - "Honeymoon for One", put your feet up and enjoy!
